Verdict

Genetics clearly didn’t stay 2m at York and is much respected back over his best trip, though is still 12lb higher than for his last success. Platitude, on the other hand, may struggle for pace over this distance nowadays on ground this quick. PACIFY got no sort of run behind Titus at York last month. He wouldn’t have beaten the winner in any case but would have finished closer and fast ground suits Ralph Beckett’s gelding though, like a few of these, he’ll want a strong pace. Communique can provide the pace angle but he weakened quickly on his only previous try over 1m4f. Not So Sleepy is back on a winning mark but is another better suited by shorter trips and Infrastructure was well beaten at Goodwood last time when 6lb lower. Kasperenko’s recent victory came on Polytrack but he’s still preferred to the disappointing Alternative Fact.
