In depth

Verdict

Scottish Accent has placed three times over hurdles but hasn’t run over the smaller obstacles in more than 12 months with a recent win coming over fences off a 4lb lower mark. Brian Hughes has ridden Smokey The Bandit in both starts so far for Nicky Richards and the Irish import has dropped a further 4lb. HALF TRACK is conceding him 12lb but has done nothing but improve and should go well in his first handicap upped in trip so gets the nod ahead of Spike Jones, who steps out of maiden company.
