    Verdict

    This looks tricky despite so few runners. FIERY SPICE won a maiden race over today’s trip at Southwell last time and a chance is taken that improved effort was down to normal progress rather than favouring the Fibresand. Lady Cristal made all in maiden company over 6f here recently but was well beaten over track and trip before that while El Hombre is another maiden winner over 6f but that was back in October. Arzaak drops in class but has yet to win and races over the minimum trip for the first time today.
