In depth

Verdict

Pickett's Charge scored over the track and trip last January and is now 4lb lower and will have needed last month's run at Wolverhampton. Champagne Rules also looked in need of an outing on his return in March and ended the last campaign in double-winning form though he's now 9lb higher. Kiwi Bay has won 13 of 135 starts, a cracking return for a moderate performer, though he was beaten six lengths by Exclusive Waters at Pontefract last summer. He's better off at the weights and the winner has since changed stables though should still confirm the form. Leodis is very lightly-raced and has been running over further without showing much so the vote goes to ARCHIPELIGO, who usually runs up to his best around here and is back on the same mark as when successful at Wolverhampton in December.
