Verdict
Compton Eclaire, Donna's Double and Let It Be for the shortlist form the finale and the vote is given to Compton Eclaire. The selection lost no caste in defeat when a fair third behind Avanti at Lingfield. She had previously run well over today's course and distance and with ground conditions to suit today she looks difficult to oppose. Donnas Double was a little disappointing at Redcar last time when third behind Cordage. He did not have the race run to suit that day but he often threatens to win his races without getting his head in front. Let It Be is better than the bare form of his last run at Mussleburgh as he didn't get a clear run that day, so he could go well granted a bit of luck- in-running. Cyber Santa ran as though returning to form last time so is another to note in the market, but we will stick with Compton Eclaire as our idea of the winner.
