Verdict

Star Fever is taken to make amends, with Singhalongtasveer, Tuatara Bay and Patavium expected to make their presence felt. Star Fever opened his account over hurdles at Musselburgh in January, but was then sent over fences, unseating on his fourth outing over the bigger obstacles at Perth in May. He looked held at the time, and has been off since, but returns to the fray back over timber, and it is hoped that the move will produce a confidence-boosting victory under Rose Davidson. Singhalongtasveer was in action on the Flat this summer, and more recently stayed on strongly when fourth over hurdles at Sedgefield. He should go well but does have topweight to overcome. Tuatara Bay was one of quite a few that were disqualified for taking the wrong course at Kelso last time, but he had earlier won a class 5 contest at Sedgefield, and need not improve too much to take a hand, while Patavium has time on his side as the only four-year-old in the line-up. For the winner though, we return to Star Fever.
