In depth

Plenty can be given a chance though We Still Believe is upped in class and raised 5lb after scoring over track and trip and Esticky End was beaten at Southwell after winning over 7f here. Cuban Cigar has been thereabouts on the Polytrack and Headshot placed at Kempton recently while both Destacado and Vindobala came up short on their respective handicap debuts. Alba De Tormes and ROCAMBOLE go handicapping for the first time and the latter gets a speculative vote having finished a respectable third in a decent novices' race at Lingfield last time.

Destacado (IRE) 6-1 (9-7) Held up towards rear, pushed along on inside over 3f out, headway over 1f out, never on terms, 5th of 9, 3 3/4l behind Bodroy (9-5) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (5) pol in Feb.

Vindobala (IRE) 10-1 (9-3) Steadied start, keen early in last, ridden over 1f out, never threatened, kept on, last of 4, 2l behind Babajan (9-7) at Newcastle 1m hcp (5) pol in Jan.

Cuban Cigar 5-1 (8-9) Close-up, pushed after 2f out, ridden and hit front before final furlong, headed late on, held on for 2nd, 2nd of 7, 1 1/2l behind Vina Bay (8-13) at Kempton 1m hcp (4) pol in Feb.

We Still Believe (IRE) 7-1 (9-10) Midfield, not much room 3f out, ridden and switched left over 2f out, headway between horses over 1f out, ran on strongly to lead final 100 yards, kept on, won at Newcastle 1m hcp (6) pol in Jan beating Heatherdown Matron (9-2) by 1 1/4l, 11 ran.

Headshot 9-1 (9-7) Held up just worse than midfield, ridden over 2f out, kept on inside final furlong, one pace, 3rd of 12, 2 1/4l behind Komore (9-9) at Kempton 1m hcp (6) pol in Feb.

Alba De Tormes (IRE) 6-1 (8-8) Led, headed over 4f out, tracked leader, pushed along over 3f out, ridden 2f out, weakened final furlong, 7th of 8, 14 3/4l behind Aradous (8-8) at Southwell 1m mdn stks (5) pol in Jan.

Esticky End (IRE) 5-1 (9-2) Fractious in stalls, midfield on outside, strongly ridden 4f out, stayed on for pressure final furlong, 4th of 10, 7 1/4l behind Swinton Noon (9-2) at Southwell 1m (6) pol in Dec.

Rocambole 125-1 (9-0) Pressed leader, ridden to lead inside final furlong, soon headed, kept on one pace, 3rd of 11, 6 1/4l behind Sammarr (9-0) at Lingfield 1m fll stks (5) pol in Dec.
