        Verdict

        Samuel Charles has the overall form to win this, with Locombe Hill and Time To Relax seen as the main dangers. Samuel Charles has a plumb draw in stall one if they go to the far side, and on recent evidence, Mark Brisbourne's charge will prove hard to beat anyway. He has been in good form on the all-weather, and his front-running style should ensure that he makes a bold bid to make all on his return to Turf. Granted, his wins on the grass in the past have been on faster ground, but today's opposition does not look tough. Locombe Hill was successful in soft ground at Ayr last September and he will also help force the pace, but could do with dropping back a furlong, while Time To Relax is dropped in grade but needs further than today's trip to be seen to best effect. They are all beatable though, and despite having to give weight away all round, Samuel Charles should prove hard to pass.
