In depth

Verdict

Recent winner Brut can follow up in this competitive handicap, Mr Rooney and Miss Daawe have to real dangers. David Barker's top-weight has to overcome a six pound penalty for that Hamilton success, but made all in that event and held on well, so could be up to defying the rise. Both Mr Rooney and Miss Daawe have been knocking on the door recently The first named chased home the rejuvenated Digital at Redcar last time out and as long as the ground isn't too soft he should go close again. meanwhile Miss Daawe was only just touched off in a similar contest at York last time and still looks on a decent mark despite a five pound rise. Down at the bottom of the handicap Highland Song is hard to dismiss, but we return to the top of the weights for our selection Brut.
