      Verdict

      YOU NEVER CAN TELL has been competing in Pattern races without success since making a winning debut at Thirsk back in June. Rated 94, Richard Spencer’s colt should easily have the measure of these back at this level, despite a penalty. Teodula and Jean Merci have shown nothing so far to suggest they can trouble the selection and the newcomers make no appeal on breeding with Sils Maria perhaps proving best of them.
