In depth

Verdict

A dual novice winner over course and distance, TYRRHENIAN SEA faces his toughest task so far. But he won impressively last time and an entry in next month’s Lincoln suggests there’s plenty more to come from Roger Varian’s grey now handicapping. Star Shield had the measure of Imperial Command when scoring over track and trip last time but Keyser Soze is preferred after a better effort at Lingfield while U S S Michigan debuts for new connections having won a maiden for Aidan O’Brien way back in 2019.
