Verdict

Ben Bulben Pace, the first foal of a Listed winner over this trip, is an interesting newcomer but has already been gelded and Newmarket raiders are expected to dominate this maiden. NEW STORY wasn't far behind the third Mange All on debut at Newbury last month, despite running green and being hampered in the closing stages. Ismail Mohammed's colt may well reverse the form here and is preferred to Newmarket fifth Gwafa, who should also have improved for the experience. Vodka Wells won over hurdles in France but was well beaten on his first start for new connections.
