Verdict

Lukoutoldmakezebak completed a double here at this time a year ago but has struggled to make an impact subsequently and was beaten in a Class 7 handicap here last time. Irish raider Manomine was also beaten at that lowly level the last time he ran on the Flat and has run very poorly over hurdles recently. DON’T BE SURPRISED (NAP) was making his handicap debut over the track and trip in January and showed enough to suggest a race of this nature would be within his capabilities. He didn’t get the run of the race but stayed on nicely and will know more here. Insurplus hasn’t won since scoring here in November 2017 but has generally run in slightly better company and isn’t without a chance. Deolali had shown nothing before a slightly better effort here last time but is still likely to need more.
