Verdict

DONNA'S DOUBLE won a bumper here a year ago and, though possibly fortunate, returned to land an eventful novices' hurdle over the minimum where he suggested this trip would be no problem. He has a penalty to carry but so does Hasty Brook for a convincing maiden victory over two miles on heavy ground at Clonmel. Winning point-to-pointer Hidden Heroics needs to step up on his two runs over timber but there's every chance he will do so while the superbly-bred Tfou, who cost €180,000, started odds-on for an Ayr bumper but ran very green. Tough Out ran well at Ayr, despite losing a shoe, while Whelans Bridge went for £32,000 after landing a Lisronagh point last May.
