Verdict

Smokey The Bandit has yet to win and was beaten eight lengths when runner-up over2m7f here last month. Barrakhov, beaten 10 lengths behind Kazontherazz on his reappearance at Uttoxeter in December, had the winner a neck behind when landing a Southwell handicap over this trip and a 4lb rise looks manageable. Rumble B is 0-18 but steadily dropping to a winnable mark though the vote goes to ECONOMIC EDITOR. Adam Nicol's charge was having only his fifth start over timber when just getting caught on heavy ground at Wetherby and today's conditions should play to his strengths. The Resdev Way has been in winning form on the all-weather and can also go well with his low weight.
