Verdict

Whoa Black Betty ended last season with a double over longer trips including at this venue though is 7lb higher on her reappearance. BRICKADANK has yet to win but has slid down the weights and a recent second at Carlisle suggests his turn is not far away. Fernhill Lad gets a change of headgear after placing at Ayr while the unpredictable Bird On The Wire has gone close off a similar mark in the past. African Glory finished runner-up at Hexham last month but was due to run at the latter track yesterday.
