In depth

Mahabba ran well in a couple of starts over 1m2f on Turf over the summer. She cost 360,000gns as a yearling as she’s by Galileo out of a multiple Group 3 winner but stamina might be an issue over this trip. The all-blue of Godolphin is a frequent sight in the winner’s enclosure here and MILITARY PARADE can make it third-time lucky as though he, too, may have stamina limitations on breeding, he does have valuable experience of Tapeta. Balashakh and Nurse Nightingale are pretty much exposed but Loud And Clear has won bumpers and been placed in hurdles so could go well if taking to the surface. Magellan has been gelded and is also interesting.

Disturb 33-1 (11-2) Held up mid-division, pushed along over 4f out, weakened over 3f out, 13th of 14, dist behind Captain Woodie (11-9) at Wetherby 2m (6) gd in Mar.

Loud And Clear 2-1fav (11-0) With leader, wandered before 2nd, led after 5th, headed 2 out, mistake last, stayed on same pace flat, 2nd of 12, 3 3/4l behind Otter Moon (11-0) at Perth 2m 4f mdn (4) gd in Jul.

Balashakh (USA) 8-1 (9-2) Held up in rear, headway over 2f out, never on terms, 5th of 8, 7 1/2l behind Torcello (9-9) at Newmarket 1m 2f hcp (4) gd in Aug.

Darksideoftarnside (IRE) Intense Focus gelding out of Beautiful Dancer.

Magellan 8-1 (9-1) Tracked leaders, ridden and edged right 2f out, kept on inside final furlong but lacking pace to get involved, 6th of 13, 6 1/4l behind Jake's Hill (9-1) at Sandown 1m 2f mdn stks (5) gd in Jun.

Military Parade 8-13fav (9-5) Edgy as stalls opened, led, headed over 6f out, ridden 3f out, lost 2nd over 1f out, stayed on same pace inside final furlong, 3rd of 10, 3 1/4l behind Power Surge (9-5) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f mdn stks (5) pol in Aug.
