        Verdict

        Doctor Bartolo did himself no favours when failing to keep a straight line in the closing stages at Wolverhampton last time and could only manage third. VANTAGE POINT was an even bigger disappointment when attempting to make all at the same track but an earlier nose defeat at Bath is the best form on offer and the Gosden colt gets another chance in first-time headgear. Stablemate Mesophere made a decent debut here and steps up in trip today along with Bowban, third over a mile at Wolverhampton on his introduction. Archibelle is related to four winners including useful handicapper Dubawi Star and is a newcomer to note.
