In depth
Verdict
Devondale does not have to carry a penalty for his success in a conditional jockeys handicap last time and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Infini and Scotch Corner. The last mentioned has slipped to a fair mark but gave little sign for encouragement on his return and may now be best watched. Red Perk is 3lbs lower than when landing a conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at Wetherby last month and has claims if translating the form to the larger obstacles, while Lutin du Moulin should come on for his recent return at Haydock. Cartmel winner Infini blotted his copybook when falling at Market Rasen last month and has to be respected if none the worse for that tumble, while Ferdy Murphy's Has Scored is relatively unexposed and cannot be ruled out with the stable in such good form. Stablemate Devondale has an obvious chance at the weights though and is taken to follow up his Hexham success.
