        Verdict

        Hard to put much faith in any of these and SEA SALT is the tentative selection. He ran below par at Carlisle last time, but Ron Barr's charge has won on soft ground before and the prevailing conditions might swing things in his favour today. Andrasta scored at Thirsk last month but never figured back over the minimum trip last time, while Red Scintilla is taking her time to return to form despite sliding down the weights. Besty drops down a grade and may improve as a result, but it's difficult to make a serious case for any of the remainder.
