Verdict

PHANTOM SERENADE is taken to follow up on his recent Redcar success, while both Rossini's Dancer and Mehendi are worthy of mention. The selection is six pounds higher in the weights since winning last time out but looks a horse that is more than capable of defying that. He has continued to improve throughout the season and with luck in running he ought to go close to winning once again. Rossini's Dancer won a handicap at Ripon on his penultimate outing but looked exposed off a nine pound higher mark at Ayr last time out and the handicapper could have the upper hand for the time being. Mehendi is still only lightly raced and has continued to improve with experience. He ran a personal best after finishing third behind Red Expresso at Wolverhampton last time out and another bold bid can be expected. Phantom Serenade is the form horse in the race and can win again.
