In depth
Verdict
Another mediocre contest for punters and in spite of the yard not firing on all cylinders Innominate is the pick, with Solid Silver and Bold Punt looking the dangers. The selection acts on the ground and over this trip, and has the best public form on offer here. The gelding has run second on three occasions from six starts and has a good opportunity to break his maiden this time. Bold Punt has less experience but does come from a yard going well, so has to be taken seriously. A recent outing at Newbury in a better race than this will have him straight enough and he looks capable of going very close provided he can find a little bit of improvement. Solid Silver has never raced on ground this bad, but there is encouragement on his CV from a placed effort on soft and he comes from connections very much respected at one of their local tracks, so we anticipate a good run. Of the remainder perhaps Rolecarr will prove to be the eyecatcher, though Innominate gets the nomination.
