Verdict
There is little form for backers to go on here but Raimond Ridge showed improved form on his second start in a novice stakes race at Newcastle recently and Mick Channon's colt is taken to go one better here, getting the verdict ahead of the Hannon pair Bonnie Charlie and Rich Red. The last mentioned is a son of Redback and like his stable companion represents a yard in good form at present. The Willie Jarvis-trained Smokey Storm is bred to be useful but may prefer a faster surface so looks best watched on his debut, while a market move for Maria Milena would be of interest. David Evans has his string in fine form at present so Miss Chamanda has to be respected along with Riflessione, who ran better last time. Raimond Ridge undoubtedly has the best form of those to have raced before though and he is preferred.
