    Verdict

    Five runners go to post for Newcastle's opener and hopefully DRAWING BOARD can go in ahead of Meandmyshadow and Mappin Time. The selection was an eye catching winner on debut when beating an above average type quite well. He got up on the line that day to collar Scarlett Rocks who has since franked the form. He really got the hang of things late that day so there should be more to come. Meandmyshadow won an ordinary maiden at the second time of asking but done it well in the end. There should be more to come from the Derek Brown horse from will have to improve to trouble the selection. The same can be said for Mappin Time and the other two runners so Drawing Board gets the nod.
