Verdict

Flower Haven is clearly progressive and should take all the beating but we'll put up HOT TOTTIE as an each-way alternative with Last Of The Bunch clearly a threat from the Swinbank yard. Last Of The Bunch was a shade disappointing at Hexham last time but may be better suited by this track so shouldn't be dismissed out of hand but Gold Reef and Laureate Des Loges are a little harder to recommend given their recent performances. Flower Haven has proved a revelation since joining Victor Dartnall and she may not be done with yet despite having been hit with a further 16lb rise by the assessors. Princess Rainbow kept on well to open her account over an extended two miles at Chepstow and seems likely to see out this longer trip given that she stayed well on the level but the extra half mile could cause problems for Boogie Dancer who posted an improved performance last time. Hot Tottie ran no race at Ludlow last time so comes with risks attached but there was plenty to like about her second to Miss Nightshade prior to that and she looks feasibly treated as she moves into handicap company. The quicker ground may assist her in bringing about some improvement and Hot Tottie is worth chancing at a price if Flower Haven is prohibitively short.
