Verdict
Jackson's Bay, a good winner at Carlisle in a bumper when defeating The Funky Monkey, is taken to score on his hurdling debut. The gelding from the Mick Easterby yard is sure to have been well schooled and he is proven on the ground. Nobratinetta rates the main danger. She too has shown enough in bumpers to suggest she can win a race of this nature, a good second to the highly regarded Armaugeden last time and she gets all the weight allowances from Jackson's Bay. Vicars Destiny was a good second behind Cumbrian Knight at Haydock last time out but he is not proven on ground this soft. Queensland Bay is from a top yard and although he is making his debut any market moves could be significant. Of the remainder Bally's Bak is bred to be better over much further and is one to watch with the future in mind.
