Verdict
VANITY AFFAIR made a winning start in handicaps when landing an apprentices' race at Wolverhampton. He escapes a penalty for that success and can take advantage. The more-exposed Francisco Bay has been raised 4lb for winning at Doncaster last month while Second Slip came up short on his handicap debut back in October but has plenty of scope for improvement. Breguet Boy has been winning over hurdles since last on the Flat and has also won on Tapeta in the past while Civil Law may prove best of the rest.
