    Verdict

The most valuable race on the card and Peril has every chance having won over 7f at Wolverhampton back in February. He can effectively race off a lower mark here with the 5lb allowance of Ed Greatrex taken into account. But FINN CLASS is just preferred as Michael Dods’ charge is fresh from landing a Class 2 contest at Thirsk and is raised only 3lb. Cape Speed recorded a double on the all-weather earlier this year but has finished last in both subsequent starts albeit in tougher races than this. Lightly-raced stablemate Turbine could prove a bigger threat and Free Code has a shout if back to his best and makes more appeal than Fullon Clarets and Gurkha Friend. Hugo Palmer’s unexposed Wall of Fire is one to keep an eye on making his handicap debut.
