In depth

Verdict

Ursula has won on heavy ground but not for two years with Shotley Mac not exactly an eye-catching performer but respected on the pick of his efforts with these conditions. Rock 'N' Royal is relatively unexposed and may be capable of more so the market may be the best judge to his chances. Amethyst Dawn races off a career high mark after success last time out and Tim Easterby's filly relishes cut in the ground. She has to be respected but TARIQ TOO gets the call. His yard is in great form and this son of Kyllachy has the pedigree and two races last month to suggest he can handle this very testing ground. He will appreciate the trip as well and he is selected ahead of Ming Meng and Masked Dance who are likely challengers.
