Verdict

Military March has only raced once since finishing fourth in the 2000 Guineas back in 2020 and was well beaten at Meydan. But HAUNTED DREAM (NAP) has placed in tough handicaps all year including the John Smith’s Cup at York and can deservedly get his head in front in this less competitive contest. Valsad has a shout on an earlier success at Southwell while Omniscient won at the same track last year. Wootton'sun remains 9lb higher than when landing the Old Newton Cup handicap at Haydock though is still preferred to recent Ayr winner Capital Theory while Blanchland drops down in class handicapping for the first time.
