Verdict
In an open looking Novices' Handicap Chase Farne Island is entitled to run well and continue his consistent run of form but looking well treated on his return to chasing we prefer BENE LAD while Lindseyfield Lodge is on an improving run of form and should go well again. There is a slight risk factor in siding with one that we haven¿t seen since May 2008 but the selection looks light at the weights compared to his hurdles mark. He¿ll also have ground conditions in his favour and if Jim Goldie has his charge fit he can return with a bang. If the pick isn't up to the task this time then Farne Island looks best placed to take advantage. His run well on his last two starts and off the same mark again he looks booked to go close back in novice company. Lindseyfield Lodge is up a couple of pounds for finding just the one too good last time but should still be capable of another bold bid while Prince Tam has improved in three starts this term and could kick on again. Plenty of the seven declared have chances but if ready to go Bene Lad looks well treated.
