In depth

Verdict

Furius De Ciergues held off the attentions of runner-up Spirit Of Hale to score at Sedgefield on his first start after wind surgery. He’s 6lb higher for this but LEVEROCK LASS drops down in class after going very close over 2m4f here and having scored over 3m at Wetherby earlier, Tim Reed’s charge can return to winning ways in first-time cheekpieces. Catlin placed again when third at Leicester recently and is preferred to Choix Des Armes while Shanroe Street may do better back over today’s shorter distance.
