In depth

Verdict

Just an ordinary handicap to bring proceedings to a close and Analyze is put forward as the tentative selection. Mick Channon's charge is not always the most reliable of customers and was a little below his best last time but had previously put up an excellent effort when a close second in a competitive handicap at Nottingham and has strong claims if repeating the same level of form. Bond Millennium shaped well on his recent return and should go well for his in-form yard while Mr Lear has been knocking on the door but may struggle from a wide draw. Prize Ring caught the eye last time and is another to consider along with Arms Acrossthesea, who has claims on the pick of last year's form and could go well if fit for his return.
