    Verdict

FAIR LOCH (NAP) went close under today’s apprentice over track and trip recently and drops down a grade for this. The third horse has won subsequently so the form looks solid enough and Brian Ellison’s charge gets the vote. By contrast, Stoneham is raised in class after winning over course and distance with Jan Smuts well beaten and the latter had earlier got the better of both Medicine Hat and Cavalieri when scoring here in January.
