Verdict

Spiekeroog opened his account over timber in a novice event over C&D last time and should figure on his handicap debut, but STORMY WEATHER is preferred. He also scored over C&D before following up at Musselburgh a fortnight ago with Nine Stories, Rumble Of Thunder and previous winner Palawi all behind. A big chunk of a 7lb rise is negated by his conditional rider's claim and a hat-trick looks on the cards for Brian Ellison's charge. Lady Bluesky and Eurohunter both won on the same day at Kelso in December but failed to complete on their latest outings and Cue To Cue looks a bigger threat after a good effort in a mares' only Grade 2 event at Doncaster last time.
