Verdict
Hebenus ran well last week at Hamilton and is the selection here, with Tedsdale Mac and Answered Promise the best of the rest. Kevin Darley takes over in the plate on Hebenus who looked the likely winner a furlong from home at Hamilton last Tuesday before being run out of a place in the final 50 yards of the race. That was a good performance and Hebenus could represent some value for punters here. Answered Promise was behind Hebenus in that same race but ran well enough to beat the odds-on favourite on the same track a week earlier. Ian Semple will be hoping his charge can reproduce that effort here, but supporters of this one will have to forgive last week's sub-standard effort. Tedsdale Mac could be the best of the rest but is an inconsistent sort who might just be good enough to run into a place. But the selection Hebenus looked to be running into form last week and another similar effort could be good enough to take this contest.
