    Verdict

    A small field but by no means a simple outcome to predict. Richard Fahey complicates the issue with two of the runners including GIN IN THE INN, who looked a nice prospect when scoring at Leicester and just gets the nod. Jack Garritty's claim is utilised to negate the penalty and Tony Hamilton, who was on board for that victory, is on the newcomer Island Flame, whose pedigree suggests will want further in time. Krystallite made a bold bid to lead all the way at Wolverhampton and was only caught late on by Delizia, who looked the more forward of the pair. Scott Dixon's filly will have come on a bundle while Mark Johnston's Brocklesby winner Ravenhoe can be forgiven a moderate effort at Newmarket where he missed the break though the Doncaster form hasn't worked out.
