Verdict
CROSS OF LORRAINE bids for his hat-trick off only a 4lb higher mark having scored by two lengths on heavy ground over 6f here last time. He has plenty of early speed and the drop back to the minimum trip should be no problem for Chris Grant's charge. Dispol Grand went close in testing going at Thirsk on Friday and may reverse earlier C&D form with Duke Of Rainford, who scored here in July with the selection back in fourth. The slow surface is a worry for Sharp Shoes, while Watts Up Son continues his slide down the weights but showed a bit more last time.
