Verdict

A race of very limited appeal from a punting perspective so FERN BAY is offered up to minimum stakes with Dontgiveamonkeys and Farmer's Cliche making our shortlist. The selection hails from a yard who can get them ready for races of this nature and he is related to a number of winners in similar grade. Fern Bridge is a half brother to the Fleet Street really should have few issues in relation to trip or going. Dontgiveamonkeys has the edge of experience. He looked as if he would learn plenty for that run at Carlisle. I'll Get By is a half-brother to Isidore Bonheur and at 50000 guineas he was far from cheap. Ebur Mac has been off the course for a while and with his last race up against the likes of Cape Tribulation, his apparently modest show can be forgiven. Sue Smith won this race last term so Keep Gunin is respected. He is a half-brother to a number of winners including the useful handicapper, Moorish. Fern Bay gets the nod in a race low in punting interest for today but high on clues for the future.
