Verdict
DANNYDAY missed the whole of 2017 but ran well for a long way over the marathon 2m4f in the Ascot Stakes last time. He won this prize in 2016 and Sir Michael Stoute’s charge gets another chance. Graceland finished in front of High Command when beaten only a neck in last year’s renewal and has obvious claims on that form while The Grand Visir won at Haydock attempting 2m for the first time and there looks more to come from him. Euchen Glen finished well ahead of Star Of The East when scoring at Ayr but saves his best for that track while 2014 Chester Cup winner Suegioo finally got his head back in front when scoring over 2m2f at Pontefract last weekend. Bedrock and Chocolate Box face a tougher task than of late but Financial Conduct is an intriguing contender on his debut for David Simcock having only raced at Dundalk so far and winning three times over 1m4f.
