Verdict

A decent little contest and with the stalls on the stands' side, it could be beneficial to be drawn high, which brings the likes of Will He Wish, Bollin Edward and Injaaz to the fore with the latter getting a narrow vote. John Dunlop's mare looked to be on the way back over course and distance last time and as she has gained two of her three victories in August, this is clearly her time of year. An added bonus is that the Handicapper has dropped her a couple of lbs and she is in danger of becoming well treated, off a 4lbs lower mark than when last successful. Tim Easterby relies on Bollin Edward, having also had recent winner Forever Times entered. The four-year-old looked a little unlucky when failing to justify favouritism at Ayr, but the winner of that event Million Percent, upheld the form when finishing a close-up second at Leicester on Wednesday evening. He will be a big threat. Will He Wish has been in cracking form of late, winning three times in six weeks. However, while he looked somewhat disappointing at Leicester last time, that may turn out to be not a bad effort as the winner has since scored again. Others to consider include the blinkered Drury Lane and Sewmuch Character, but this is Injaaz's time of year and she is taken to bounce back to winning ways.
