A decent staying race with no less than seven of these seeking compensation for their defeat in the Cesarewitch. Distant Prospect, who came out the best of those that day when a strong finishing fourth, turned in his best effort to date, for he had the worst of the draw and deserves plenty of respect in this, but he is unlikely to get the strong pace he needs at this trip. Of the others Random Quest can be expected to finish closer this time as he wasn't knocked around when his chance had gone and with Richard Quinn retaining the ride, he must go well. Conquestadora will be suited by this slightly shorter trip and with her ability to handle give underfoot, she must go well. However, Tees Components looks the one to be with. He went off favourite for the Cesarewitch and gave his supporters hope when launching his challenge down the centre of the track, but that later proved to be the slowest part of the racecourse that day, so he is forgiven that effort and over this shorter trip, he is taken to make amends.
