Mighty Gurkha arguably has the stand-out form in this having won the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes at Kempton last month. But he’ll be a short price and it is a concern that he’s yet to win on Turf and has yet to encounter going this soft, even though he’s been taking on decent company. Both of Perotto’s victories to date have come on fast ground and FAIRY DUST may offer more value. She never got going in a Group 3 at Salisbury last time but had finished second in a Listed race at Newbury earlier in testing conditions and she holds Country Carnival on that run. The latter’s stablemate Noorban had little chance in the Lowther at York but could figure in this granted luck in-running and any number of her rivals are similarly unexposed.
