Feliciana De Vega and Peaceful are among those who run in this rather than tomorrow’s Prix de l’Opera at Longchamp. Aidan O’Brien’s filly was no match for the much-improved Champers Elysees in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown last month and Johnny Murtagh’s charge is the pick of the three-year-olds in this but John Gosden will fancy his pair to make a race of it. Nazeef beat last year’s winner Billesdon Brook and TEREBELLUM in the Falmouth Stakes on the July course here in the summer but the latter had to make her own running that day and, rested since, can turn the tables if ridden with more restraint. Veracious, second 12 months ago, and Cloak Of Spirits only won Listed races last time but both are more than capable in this grade if on song and Half Light travels over from France in excellent form.
