In depth

Verdict

Seabow will be all the better for his recent return to action, and can account for Galactic Star, King Charles and Mutawassel. Seabow looked one to follow when opening his account at Nottingham last autumn, but was not seen again until tackling a class 3 handicap at Sandown nine days ago. Sent off favourite then, he still looked to be in need of a run, but finished not too far away in third. Although the ground is faster than he might like, the Godolphin inmate should improve a few pounds and is selected to defy topweight. Galactic Star is a similar sort to the selection on past form, and he too returned to the fray only recently, at Ascot where he was not far behind Tears Of A Clown. This represents a slight drop in grade, but he will be seen to better effect over further, and indeed holds an entry in the Ebor. King Charles is another for the short-list as he was narrowly denied on his last visit, and is race-fit, while Mutawassel has not long returned to Ed Dunlop after a prolific spell in Qatar. Even those down the bottom of the handicap are worth a mention, but for the winner we return to Seabow.
