    Verdict

Halfsin is unbeaten in three starts this year and still on the upgrade judged on his win in a handicap over C&D last month. He'll make a bold bid again this but may just find AL KAZEEM too strong off level weights. Roger Charlton's colt hasn't raced since beating Labarinto on the Rowley Mile here in May but has probably been kept back for an autumn campaign and an entry in the Great Voltigeur in 12 days' time suggests connections think he's capable of holding his own in decent company. Roayh has an even longer lay-off to overcome but Moriarty is a danger dropped in grade and makes more appeal than Slim Shadey, whose 2000 Guineas is now little more than a distant memory.
