Verdict

Imtiyaz has twice found one too good this term but looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account and is taken to score at the main expense of the three-year-olds Elshadi and Carini. The last mentioned has not progressed as much this term as might have been expected but is impossible to rule out entirely. More solid claims are held by Marcus Tregoning's Elshadi, although there is a concern about the current form of the stable's horses. Island Sound makes his belated reappearance and is probably bet watched, so a bigger threat among the older horses may come from Tizzy May, although he has disappointed of late and is difficult to recommend. The selection then is Imtiyaz. Godolphin's five-year-old lost op caste in defeat behind subsequent Eclipse third Kalaman on his return to action at Goodwood in May and again when filling second spot behind Fruhlingssturm at Epsom last month, the pair six lengths clear. A reproduction of either effort should suffice.
