In the finale, Sanbuch is selected ahead of Bold Glance and Cutting Crew. The Luca Cumani-trained selection comes here in good heart, having won in a first-time visor at Goodwood two runs ago and following that up with a solid second at York, when the race did not quite pan out to suit him. He has been raised two pounds for that effort but can get back to winning ways today. Bold Glance beat a better-fancied stable companion in a Pontefract maiden on his debut and holds plenty of potential. Cresta Gold holds a very good chance if recapturing last season's form and comes here fresher than most. Cutting Crew is lightly-raced, open to improvement and remains on what we feel is a fair mark, so he could go well too. Esthlos has come of age of late but has to prove it from a rising mark now, and Richard Hannon keeps eking out improvement from Malt Or Mash and he could go well dropping back in trip from last time. For the selection, though, we will stick with Sanbuch.
