In depth
Verdict
Davydenko gained his third success in four starts when scoring over a mile here then followed-up at Doncaster. He could progress into pattern-race class and his yard have started well. Andrew Balding is in even better form and GOOD BIRTHDAY (NAP) ran a superb race in the Cambridgeshire, staying on strongly over that 1m1f. He'd won his previous race over this trip at Beverley from today's rival Desert Icon who has a 2lb pull for half-a-length so there should be little between them. Palavecino should have a fitness advantage having made all when scoring at Lingfield in February, his second victory from just four starts, while Mark Johnston's pair West End Charmer and Sky Defender are others to note in an interesting handicap.
