      Verdict

      John Gosden saddled the first favourite to win this in ten years a year ago and has Timba in here. She hasn't been seen since runner-up to Marsh Hawk at Newbury last September and the winner hasn't done much for the form subsequently. Nancy From Nairobi has been unfortunate not to have won more than once but connections won't be pleased to see her raised 5lb for finishing runner-up at Goodwood last week. After a couple of minor victories, WORDCRAFT ran in a very tough handicap over 7f here last month where she stayed on strongly after meeting trouble in-running. The assessor must have believed she was unlucky as he's raised her 7lb but she's progressing fast enough to overcome the extra. Floriss looks a big threat after an impressive victory in a maiden here last month where she only had to be ridden out hands and heels.
